Gg Three

This artwork was one of a series of four paintings based off a photoshoot I did with one of my best friends. I organized to spend the evening with her during which she wore a variety of outfits and I photographed her in various parts of her home; it was evening and most of the light came from candles and fairy lights which created some really beautiful shadows and reflections. I took lots of photo’s on the night, and at a later time narrowed down the images to those I liked best, I then did drawings of those images, selected my favorite drawings and used those as the basis of the four paintings. I used a limited palette to help create the mood and intimacy that I wanted to convey.
